It is saddening to note that while vigourously campaigning against the abuse of the girl child and rape against women, the male child has been left relegated to the background warming the bench as if he will ever be featured in the next match.... too too bad!!!

The male child at a very tender age is left at the care of aunts, aunties, house girls and female neighbours to keep watch over. Most often at times, the guarded apples become preys to sexually starved and malnourished destiny hunters who fondle destinies out of the sheepishly smiling lads. They are used as improvised interim sexual mercenaries with either threats to report their other crimes to their parents, or reduce certain disciplinary standards like waiving siestas, or exemption from chores in the absence of parents and guardians or even better promises of open access to cartoons and the list is endless!!

Synonymous to rape?? Yes!! This very evil practice is synonymous to rape in that the victims are scared to speak out, and for those who eventually find cause to speak out, the society mocks at them like they do to rape victims. They are asked, "did you not enjoy it?","wetin carry you go there? ",etc!! Like seriously...??!!!!

I am taking time to set this out this morning because five out of ten lads I meet, tell me similar stories, so you can do the computation yourself.Two of the remaining five out of ten are either shy or scared to share their experiences.

This is not a judgemental post neither am I passing verdicts on the house girls Emeritus or aunts and aunties who once fondled their lads. However, if anyone here reading who is himself or herself without blemish,let him or her cast the first stone!!

In conclusion,mothers please over here!!
The private part and sexual intergrity of your male child is as sacred as his sister's!!! Give him some attention too, ask him questions. Ask him what happens when you go to work. Be his friend and thank me later.
