Igwe APGA Bags Ozo Title
The national coordinator of ‘Operation APGA Take Over South East’, Chief Benjamin Ifeanyi Obi (Igwe APGA) has been honoured with the Ozo Title of ‘Mbuze’ by Agulu town in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Ozo title is one of the revered and respected titles in Igbo land and anyone conferred with the title is seen as a respected and responsible citizen of Igbo land that can speak and defend the ethnic group anytime any day and anywhere.
The title bestowed on the APGA Chieftain has shown the love and the respect, the people of Agulu have for him, as the custodian of culture.
The Ozo title guarantees respect and integrity to any man that it is given to in Igbo land. The person must be a recognized and respected personality in his community and in Igbo land. He must be seen as a honest and truthful person and it always goes with a special Igbo hat or cap as a symbolic accessory.
In his speech the head of Ozo title holders, while performing the ceremony with other members thanked God for their son, Chief Ben whom he described as a trustworthy, committed and consistent politician.
Dignitaries that graced the ceremony were, The Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Anambra State - Chief Okeke Ogene, Hon. Peter Ibida, Hon. Azubuike Okoye, Hon. Silas Ejeabocha, Hon. Prince Anugwu Williams Ifeanyi and many others.
